Boluwatife Oladipo, a JSS 3 student at St. Louis Girls’ Grammar School in Akure, Ondo State, tragically collapsed and passed away during school hours. It is said that she had foreseen her own death.
A local newspaper reported that the 12-year-old girl fainted last Tuesday after expressing a desire to die.
Eyewitnesses noted that she was playing with her classmates when she started making strange comments, indicating she felt like she was going to die.
It was reported that the girl had expressed to her friends her desire for her mother to have more children, but her request was not heeded.
Shortly after, she collapsed and was quickly taken to the school clinic for first aid. Later, she was transferred to the University Medical Teaching Hospital (UNIMETH) in Akure, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A teacher mentioned that it seemed clear the girl had a sense
“Last Tuesday, classes were ongoing in the school when we were alerted that a JSS 3 student had fainted. We quickly rushed to attend to her,” the teacher said.
“We learned that the girl was playing with her friends outside the classroom. When the bell rang for the next class, which was Mathematics, they all ran inside
“After they got into the classroom and the Mathematics teacher arrived, she put her head on the desk.
“Her concerned classmates went to her and tapped her, telling her that the teacher was already in the classroom.”
Upon reaching her, she looked up and expressed to her friends that she wanted to die.
The students notified the teacher, who quickly came to her. When the teacher arrived, she said it again.
“I want to d!e.”
“The teacher had to call on other teachers, and the girl was rushed to the school clinic. She was said to have kept saying she wanted to d!e.
“Thereafter, she was rushed to UNIMEDTH. Upon arrival at the state hospital, the doctor on duty who attended to her observed her and noted that she was ‘paper white’ (she had a shortage of blood).
“Immediately, she was placed on a blood transfusion. During the process, she tragically passed away.”
The source informed the publication that when some teachers from the school went to the girl’s house, her mother shared some important details.
“The mother of the girl told them that it took her years to give birth to her, and she was the first child,” a teacher said.
The girl was said to be urging her mother to have another baby.
“The mother said that on the fateful morning, she told her father that she would be travelling abroad for her Senior Secondary School education. She then hugged her dad and waved goodbye to her mother,”
In the early hours, the mother noticed a ghostly figure moving through the house.
She shared this with her husband, and they prayed together afterward.
