An 18-year-old male has garnered significant attention after declining a university offer to accompany his girlfriend to a smaller college, citing their romantic relationship as the motivation behind his choice.
This information was disseminated through a post that rapidly gained popularity on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
In the post, a lady who appears to have observed the situation shared her insights, indicating that the young man, at the age of 18, should have taken advantage of the opportunity to pursue higher education.
Instead, he chose to enroll in a smaller college alongside his girlfriend, driven by their affection for one another.
She wrote: “Got a listener whose son is rejecting an offer from UCT so that he can follow his gf to a smaller college because they are in love. Omg. At 18.”
As the post attracted attention, numerous concerned individuals inundated the comments section, expressing their opinions regarding the young man’s decision.
