My reelection is almost a done deal – Governor El-Rufai boasts
Speaking as a special guest at the 2018 National Council on Finance and Economic Development (NACOFED) conference which held in Kaduna on Monday, November 26, El-Rufai said getting reelected as the governor of the state is not paramount in his agenda, but doing the right thing is.
“In spite of all the risks we have taken and all the people we are supposed to have upset, the election on March 2, 2019, as far as Kaduna state is concern, is almost a done deal,” the governor said.
Being re-elected is not important. What is important is doing the right thing and posterity will judge us. From all indications, from everything I have seen, because we call regularly, we are very scientific, we don’t guess in the dark.” El-Rufai said
Kaduna state education, economic and health sectors had undergone far-reaching reforms by his administration. He said his priority is to put the state on the right track.
The governor noted that the reforms and achievement recorded in the state have strengthened his reelection bid. He said his administration has created a lot of jobs and empowered the women folks with soft loan.
