Top 2023 Presidential aspirants, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, met in Abuja.
Tinubu and Atiku bumped into each other at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja. Also present during the meeting was the embattled PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
This was disclosed by a former PDP presidential aspirant and a veteran journalist, Dele Momodu. Sharing a photograph of the trio via Twitter, Momodu wrote:
“JUST IN, @atiku, TINUBU and @iyorchiayu meet at the airport VVIP lounge in Abuja.” The camps of Tinubu and Atiku have been at loggerheads since last week as the race for the 2023 presidency heats up.
In another news, Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof, Nigerian comedian, has switched from supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Jollof made this announcement switch in a video posted on his official Instagram page as he noted that he is ready to work with Atiku.
Recall that earlier Mr Jollof had declared support for the APC flagbearer after following his son, Seyi Tinubu to meet him.
But in a fresh video, the comedian asked Atiku to give him a call so that they can have discussions on how he would contribute towards the execution of his plan in the education sector.
He said; “Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri of Adamawa your excellency, we will discuss on how we will invest in skill acquisition, human capital development and how we will make these people know that school no be scam, we need to eradicate these mentality.
“Ask Okowa when I appointed myself as the special adviser to the governor on general project, ask Okowa we worked smoothly, you can see the synergy. So Atiku, we need to work together towards this 2023 presidential ambition. Me and my papa don settle. If you no know my papa, my papa na senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. So, I no be small meat person.
“This your investment on education, wey you want make compulsory through the legislation wey you talk. “No say na bad thing wey I talk, you need me. Until I come your way again Atiku or probably when you call me. Call me Atiku, let’s talk on how we want invest on education”.
