A member of the House of Representatives (APC-Kano), Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, has threatened members of his constituency to vote for the All Progressives Congress on election day or prepare to be being dealt with.
Daily Nigerian reports that the Reps majority leader issued the threat at a political rally in Kano state.
Doguwa, a representative of Doguwa/Tudun-Wada Federal Constituency in the green chamber, is seeking reelection to continue his seventh term.
In a video making the rounds online, the lawmaker, who spoke in Hausa language said;
“To God who made me, on election day, you must vote for APC or we deal with you.
“I’m saying it again: on election day you either vote for APC, or we deal with you.
“Repeat after me, in Doguwa you either vote for APC or we deal with you.”
His threat comes days after Kano State chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Abbas, vowed that the party would win the state ‘either by hook or by crook.’
Many stakeholders have called for Doguwa’s arrest, saying that he intends to thwart a peaceful electoral process.
