Nigerian comedian AY was recently featured in a viral video in which he made derogatory remarks about his colleague, Basketmouth, reigniting their 17-year feud.
It should be noted that the fight apparently originated over a ₦30,000 debt which Basketmouth owed AY.
At the time, AY had filled in as a replacement comedian for Basketmouth at an event he had introduced him to. The guests had expressed their displeasure initially, but became excited after AY’s performance.
Basketmouth, on the other hand, claimed that he did not receive payment for the gig because AY had substituted for him, hence the feud.
However, in the recent video, AY was seen at a show, throwing jabs at Basketmouth.
Ay was heard saying: “30k Baboon, from the zoo, I’m a Baboon. Basket.”
