Four women who were abducted seven months ago by armed men believed to be kidnappers have been received, according to the Zamfara State government, headed by Governor Dauda Lawal.

According to Gistlover, the victims were kidnapped on the Kaura Namoda-Birnin Magaji Road seven months ago.

Recall that the women pleaded with the governor to facilitate their rescue in a two minutes, 19 second video clip that the terrorists released a few weeks ago.

The governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, however, claimed in a statement released on Thursday that the ladies who had been saved had been welcomed at the Council Chambers of Government House, Gusau.

Idris clarified that the government had been concerned ever since the video clip’s release, and that this concern sparked an immediate action that resulted in their release.

Governor Lawal thanked God for making it possible for him to witness the women’s liberation as he welcomed the victims who had been rescued.

He emphasized further that the needs of the rescued women would be met and that they would be fully reintegrated into society.

He stated, “As the Chief Executive of Zamfara State, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Allah for the release of these ladies who were abducted about seven months ago.

The government and the victims’ families are happy right now, without a doubt.

The victims are being urged to view what happened as a test from Allah Ta’ala. They will have a better future, so please don’t let it in any way affect their lives.

The government of Zamfara State will take all necessary steps to meet the victims’ needs and ensure that they receive the required medical care after being rescued.

To end the menace of kidnapping and banditry in our beloved state, my government is determined to take whatever measures are necessary.

The governor said that since it is everyone’s responsibility, we must work together and constantly give security the information they need.

The four women were abducted by bandits on January 15, 2023, according to Nuhu Umar, director of state services for Zamfara state, who officially handed the rescued victims over to the governor for later distribution to their families.

Through government action, the abducted victims were able to get their freedom back.

The victims are Jamila Yahaya Isa, Aisha Yahaya Isa, Ummulkhairi Musa, and UmmulKhairi Sani Umar.
