4 Persons Confirmed Dead As Central Mosque Collapses On Worshipers in Zaria

On Friday, the Zaria Central Mosque collapsed on attendees, causing a ruckus in Kaduna State.

According to reports reaching Gistlover, a total of four worshippers were killed and seven others were injured in the tragic incident.

According to the Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, the victims were praying Asr at 4 p.m. when the tragedy occurred.

We had noticed a crack in the wall of the mosque yesterday and were planning to deploy a team of civil engineers to effect repairs when this unfortunate incident occurred,” he said.

The king expressed condolences to the deceased’s relatives and commanded that worshipers pray outside the mosque until repairs were being made.

The Emir ordered that all funeral prayers be held at 8.30 pm at the emir’s palace.
