6-Day-Old Baby Passes Away After Being Given Water Too Early

  • A six-day-old baby died after being given water, despite medical advice against it.
  • Doctors recommended no water for newborns until they are six months old.
  • The mother was pressured by her mother-in-law to give the baby water, citing traditional practices.
  • A devastating incident has gone viral on social media, where a six-day-old baby tragically lost its life after being given water, despite medical warnings.

According to a widely shared TikTok post, the baby’s mother had been explicitly advised by doctors not to give her newborn any water until reaching six months of age.

However, after returning home, she faced relentless pressure from her mother-in-law, who insisted that giving water to newborns had always been a common practice without harmful consequences.

The woman recounting the story shared:

“A mother gave birth on a Monday and was instructed by the hospital not to give her baby water for the first six months. But after she got home, her mother-in-law urged her to ignore the advice, saying she had done the same with her children without any issues.”

Despite initial reluctance, the mother eventually gave in. By Saturday, she noticed alarming changes in her baby’s condition.

In a desperate attempt to save the infant, the family rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed that the baby had suffered from water intoxication—a condition caused by excessive water intake. Unfortunately, the newborn could not be saved.

As the heartbreaking news spread online, social media users expressed their grief and outrage, emphasizing the importance of following medical guidance for newborn care.
