Madam Beatrice Oppong, mother of award-winning dance-hall artiste, Ebony Reigns who died a week ago in a fatal accident has visited the scene of the tragedy to ascertain things for herself.
She visited the team with some members of the Ashanti Regional Council. The said accident that took the life of her daughter and that of 2 others was reported to have happened at Nyamebekeyre close to Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region.
According to Mynewsgh.com, after seeing things for herself, mother of the late artiste who was still trying to come to terms with her daughter’s demise called on all authorities entrusted with safety and maintenance on our roads to be proactive.
In her statement, she said everyone involved in road construction must take safety seriously to ensure that the lives of the roads users are not endangered.

She added that if the contractor responsible for that stretch of road had sped up with his work, her daughter might not have died as she traveled on that road.
According to Simon Osei Mensah who happens to be the Chairman of Ashanti Regional Security Committee, the visit to the accident site was to enable them get firsthand information as to what happened.
He said that investigations had started and a permanent solution was in the offing to prevent further loss of life on that road that had already cut short a number of lives.
Ebony died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road while returning to Accra from Sunyani. Her childhood friend and PA, Franky Kuri and one air force official, Francis Atsu Vondee, who posed as a bodyguard also died in the car crash.
The musician was bound to fly out of the country for her first ever international tour but her life and career were cut short as a result of a fatal accident believed to have been caused by a heap of sand.
