Multiple bomb explosions has reportedly rocked Maiduguri on Sunday night as suicide bomber attacked a Civilian Joint Task Force (CTJF) check point around Muna garage, while another set of bombers invaded Kalleri ward.
Alhaji Mala, a resident said they lost three people in Kalleri last night to the bombers; they would knocked on the our doors when we open, they quickly grabbed people and detonated IEDs.”
In total eight people have been confirmed dead after the multiple suicide blasts, one of them was an operative of the Civilian-JTF, five were suicide bombers and others.
This came 24 hours after an Army captain and five soldiers were killed in an evening attacked on 27 Taskforce Brigade of the Nigeria Army in Buni Yadi, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Lt. George Okupe, the Brigade spokesman, confirmed there was indeed an attack, but could not confirm the casualty figure.
