89 New COVID-19 Cases, 45 Discharged and 0 Deaths on April 14
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 89 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in nine states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, bringing the total number of active cases across the country to 7,669.
The public health agency made this known on Wednesday while giving an update via its official website.
The agency also discharged 45 patients after testing negative twice for the virus.
So far, Nigeria has recorded 164,000 cases of the virus since its outbreak in February 2020.
Meanwhile, about 2,061 patients have died of the virus complications, while a total of 154,270 persons have been successfully treated.
