The management of Dowen College shut down school activities for three days following the death of a student, Sylvester Oromoni.
This is coming following the death of a 12-year-old student who was allegedly beaten to death by his peers over refusal to join a cult group.
Following the backlash that trailed the educational institution, Dowen’s college, therefore, put activities in the school on hold to mourn the passing of the victim.
In an email circulated to parents, the school is set to be on hold on Friday the 3rd of December and Monday, the 6th of the same month.
Meanwhile Nigerian skit maker, Cute Abiola has been released by the Nigerian Navy after weeks of being held in detention.
Recall that on 16th November, Mr Macaroni raised an alarm over the sudden disappearance of Cute Abiola, where he declared the comedian missing.
In a recent development, there seems to be a piece of good news about the comedian
Speaking with The PUNCH on Friday 3rd December, the naval spokesman, Commodore Suleman Dahun maintained that Cute Abiola deliberately violated the armed forces’ social media policy but was given a punishment after he was tried for misconduct and indiscipline.
He added that the hilarious content creator is no longer in naval detention as he has been released to serve his punishment.
