The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has said his fallout with his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was because of Muslim-Muslim Ticket.
Tinubu is running alongside former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, on a Muslim-Muslim Ticket.
Reacting during an Arise TV interview on Friday, Atiku stated that while he and Tinubu were political allies, he opposed the move for a Muslim-Muslim Ticket in Nigeria.
He said, “My fundamental disagreement with Tinubu in 2007 was as a result of Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“I have always opposed Muslim-Muslim ticket. I don’t believe this is ripe for countries like Nigeria. There should be balance”.
