Femi Falana SAN, a human rights lawyer, has made some shocking revelations about his singer son, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, and his love of embarrassing the government.

Speaking at an event in Lagos on Sunday, April 2, the famous rapper’s father stated that his son is constantly at odds with the government because of what he was forced to endure as a child.

He claimed that his frequent arrests as a lawyer bothered his son, who mistook him for a criminal.

“One of these guys one day said, ‘Falana talk to your son; he should stop embarrassing the government.

Did I say which government? Do you mean that boy who is an adult? Can I give you his number so you can talk to him? But he was careful because when that boy was growing up. I was being arrested from time to time. So, the only language he understood was detention, arrest, and the rest of them.

One day when that boy was six, he asked his mother, “Our teacher taught us that only criminals were arrested. Is my father a criminal? Why is he always being arrested? And the mother had to say that in Nigeria, under the military, only two sets of political suspects. Politics suspects are those who are out to expose the criminality of the government. That is why you see going on”.

You selected yourself – Falz lampoons Sanwo-Olu over appreciation post to Lagosians

Falz, aka Bop Daddy, has blasted Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his gratitude post he shared with Lagosians.

After the re-elected Governor posted on Twitter, Falz replied angrily to the Governor’s post on the same platform.

It will be recalled that the Governorship election was held over the weekend across Nigeria. And in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu emerged winner under the APC umbrella.

Falz, who was rooting for the Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes, did not seem pleased with the result as there have been reports of mayhem, violence and rigging.

Falz insisted that the people did not elect Sanwo-Olu, and he had forcefully elected himself as it was a glaring fact for all to see.

He replied: You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving Yourselves.
