David Adeleke, aka Davido, has revealed that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, buys two cars every eight years.
This was revealed by the famous singer in a recent Forbes interview.
He discussed the friendship between his family and Dangote, noting that Chief Adedeji Adeleke, his billionaire father, is friends with the richest black person in the world.
Davido made a startling admission about the billionaire when he said that he only purchases two cars every eight years.
He added that every time they spoke, Dangote had given him financial advice to put money aside.
Davido said, “Uncle Aliko [Dangote] is a very different kind of billionaire. Uncle Aliko buys two cars every eight years. He’s a very disciplined and very different kind of billionaire.
“Every time I see him, he just says one thing, ‘Save your money!’. There’s nothing more he tells me, every time save your money. He and my dad have been very close friends.
“And he [Dangote] has done well for us [Nigerians] back home. He made us a lot of industries. He just opened the biggest factory in Africa. That’s providing jobs.”
Aliko Dangote set to acquire French football club
Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa and the head of a major Nigerian conglomerate, is reportedly close to acquiring the French Ligue 2 team Valenciennes.
The CEO of the Dangote Group is reportedly planning to purchase a 60 percent stake in the team, according to French media reports.
The largest industrial conglomerate in Africa, the Dangote Group, had previously expressed interest in purchasing Premier League team Arsenal, but the deal fell through.
Since its founding in 1913, Valenciennes has played its home matches at the Stade du Hainaut.
The team has played in Ligue 1 for 40 seasons and Ligue 2 for 36; during that time, they have won the Ligue 2 championship twice, but not the Ligue 1 championship.
