Recall that Popular Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, became the subject of most social media pages after embarking on a four-day Cook-a-thon to break the longest cooking record set in 2019.

Hilda Baci commenced the four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ on Thursday, May 11 by 4pm at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State and concluded on Monday, May 15th by 8pm.

Hilda Baci did not only smash the existing record of 87 hours 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon, but she also surpassed her goal of 96 hours, with a new target of hitting 100 hours.

Ajom Sunday works as a chef at My Food By Hilda as Hilda’s assistant chef. He studied at Obafemi Awolowo University and is a native of Makurdi.

Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, was the first woman to hold the record for the longest time in the kitchen.

She worked nonstop for 87 hours and 45 minutes while cooking.

Hilda Baci, who prepared 100 meals in 100 hours using 55 different recipes, broke that record by feeding more than 3000 people.

Users of social media, particularly Nigerians, are eagerly anticipating Hilda Baci’s formal designation as the new record breaker by Guinness World Records (GWR).
