The exalted Alaafin’s Stool is a vital part of Yoruba history and heritage, and as such, it is not for sale, according to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
The governor stated this in his speech on Friday during the official commissioning of the Iseyin campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
The governor pleaded with all potential Alaafins and royal houses to put an end to the conflict so that a new Alaafin could take office as soon as possible.
As soon as there was peace between the royal households, Makinde, who spoke in Yoruba, expressed his willingness to crown a new Alaafin.
