On Monday, the Federal High Court in Abuja will make a decision in the lawsuit alleging that Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, faked his certificates.
It is suspected that Governor Mbah falsified his diploma from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The Federal High Court’s Justice Inyang Ekwo will render a decision in a lawsuit filed by the governor against NYSC to refute the accusations made against him.
According to a notification of judgment delivery, the lawsuit with the file number FHC/ABJ/CS/1611/2023 would have its judgment rendered within a few hours.
Supporters of the governor of Enugu State had invaded the courthouse to watch the proceedings at the time this report was filed.
Before taking office on May 29, Governor Mbah filed a lawsuit against the NYSC and Ibrahim Muhammad, the Corps Certification Director, for posting a disclaimer that said he would not be receiving a release certificate on January 6, 2003.
On May 15, Justice Ekwo issued an order prohibiting Muhammad, the NYSC, and any of their representatives from publishing anything of that nature going forward, while the main matter was being heard and decided.
Governor Mbah may lose his job if the court finds him guilty of falsifying his NYSC certificate on Monday.
