India police stated on Saturday that a 20-year-old nursing student was allegedly murdered by her lover at a hotel in Chennai. The boyfriend then posted a picture of the body on his WhatsApp status.

According to India Today, acquaintances of the victim spotted the accused Ashiq’s WhatsApp status, which led to the discovery of the murder.
After her friends informed authorities, the cops found her death in a hotel room where the couple was staying.
The deceased, a second-year nursing student, had a five-year relationship with the accused, according to the investigators. The pair has been living together since they rented a place in the city.
The victim’s classmates inquired after she missed three days of class and learned that Ashiq had traveled to Chennai and reserved a hotel room for the two of them.
However, they were shocked to see Ashiq’s disturbing WhatsApp status image of the deceased woman.
Her deceased body was found at a private hotel after the Chennai Police launched a search operation. Additionally, they have successfully captured Ashiq after reviewing the local CCTV footage.
During questioning, the accused is said to have admitted to perpetrating the crime. The victim accused the accused of having a love involvement with another lady, which allegedly led to a heated argument between them, according to reports from the local media. Ashiq allegedly used his t-shirt to choke her to death after becoming angry.
