The Plateau State government has claimed that the gunmen who attacked the communities on the Plateau were dressed in military uniforms. State information commissioner Musa Ashoms made these claims in an interview with Arise TV, claiming that the attack was executed with military precision.
“Our assailants came in their groups, they killed in in 23 villages you can imagine, it was well orchestrated, they did it with military precision and they came in military uniforms, then you begin to ask, our people will even say, okay if that is the case, withdraw the military from our communities so that when we just see military we will know that they are our assailants,” he said.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu fiercely denounced the horrible and vicious attacks in the Plateau State local government areas of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi, according to a previous article from Naija News.
Recall that after gunmen attacked multiple towns in Bokkos and the Barikin-Ladi Local Government Area on the Plateau, approximately 190 people were officially pronounced dead.
It was learned that the shooters attacked the people living in the three LGAs on Christmas Eve between Saturday and roughly ten o’clock at night.
Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s spokesperson, released a statement on Tuesday in which he expressed his sorrow for the terrible number of lives lost in the attacks.
Security agents were instructed by President Tinubu to enter the area right away, search every square inch, and capture the offenders.
