Following the Nigerian Super Eagles’ 1-0 victory against Cote D’Ivoire, a video featuring renowned football player Alex Iwobi in underwear went viral online.
The Fulham defender Calvin Bassey was heard in the video explaining how exhausted he was on the field and the strategy he had to use to save the game.
Ola Aina, for his part, used his phone to record a portion of the players and catch the footage.
The fact that Iwobi was photographed in his underwear drew internet users’ attention and created a stir.
Internet users took advantage of the occasion to make crude and mocking remarks about the football player.
