The Super Eagles’ 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday prompted a response from singer Charles Oputa, better known by his stage as Charly Boy.
After a head-off yesterday evening, Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the just concluded African Cup of Nations.
With two goals in the second half of the game, the Ivorians defeated the Nigerians to win the AFCON.
While Jose Peseiro’s squad tried hard against Ivory Coast, the better team won, Charly Boy said in response to Nigeria’s defeat.
He took to his Twitter page now X and tweeted, “The Super Eagles tried but the best team won. Oya, make we face the demons facing us.”.
