Funke Akindele, a Nigerian filmmaker and actress, has undoubtedly established a big milestone that would be difficult for any Nigerian filmmaker to break.

The movie actress, who became the first Nigerian filmmaker to earn more than a billion in cinema last month, has not shied away from her historic success.

In a new update, A Tribe Called Judah has made over N1.4 billion in around ten weeks since its launch on December 15, 2023, maintaining its title as the highest-grossing Nigerian film ever. The film has undoubtedly become a favorite of many, both at home and abroad.

Funke Akindele responded to her success on X, writing:

Also sharing the good news, Film One, expressed gratitude to Nigerians and West Africans for making the movie Number One.
