Nobody Cares About What You’re Going Through – Uzee Usman

Popular Nigerian actor Uzee Usman has sent a message to Nigerians.

In a heartfelt post, he criticized how people are frequently motivated by selfish motives and lack true concern for others.

According to him, people are so self-centred that they don’t care about the suffering of others.

Usman observed that during difficult circumstances, one often suffers alone, with others merely pretending to show concern.

He questioned the genuineness of individuals who pretend to care, asking his followers if they genuinely do.

He wrote on X: “In the end, nobody cares. Whatever you’re going through, you’re on your own. If you talk to someone, they exploit your problems. If you don’t, you suffer in silence. People pretend to care, but they really don’t. Do you?”

In other news, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has spoken out against Nigeria’s latest changes to its electricity pricing scheme, describing them as unfair and ‘daylight theft’.

On July 9, 2024, Henshaw shared on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “Nowhere, absolutely nowhere in the world, is there this purported ‘banding’ of electricity supply. Give everyone access to electricity and let them pay fairly for their consumption. Yet, every 2 to 3 months, there is an increase in tariff!! Daylight robbery in darkness.”

Kate was replying to journalist Olive Modi’s remarks regarding Nigeria’s poor power supply. Modi stated that in April 2024, electrical firms separated customers into bands ranging from A to E, with Band A receiving the most power but also paying the highest. Some people complain about paying exorbitant costs for unreliable power.

Modi added, “Living in Nigeria feels like some sort of toxic form of relationship where you constantly expect something to go wrong.”

Many X users sided with Henshaw. One commenter mentioned how officials give inappropriate advice, such as encouraging people to switch off their refrigerators when they leave the house.
