A man has been declared wanted for stealing a phone belonging to a new member of a prominent Nigerian church in Port Harcourt.

The incident was claimed to have occurred inside the RCCG Christ Ambassadors Youth Church on Peter Odili Road in Port Harcourt.

Security footage from the church’s CCTV camera captured the suspect red-handed, capturing him stealing the phone after the new member requested him to charge it.

The suspect, dressed in a pullover sweater, posed as an usher and gained the victim’s trust. Instead of plugging in the phone, he grabbed it and swiftly exited the church.

The event was captured on tape and is now available online. The church and authorities are working together to identify and apprehend the culprit.
