Social media is a double-edged sword, says Seyi Awolowo

Seyi Awolowo has provided some insight into the difficulties and pitfalls of using social media.

The BBNaija alumnus was open about the impact of digital interactions on his personal and professional life.

“Social media is a double-edged sword,” Awolowo stated. “While it gives you a platform to express yourself, it also opens you up to scrutiny.”Awolowo further opened up on challenges faced saying “I think I’m often misunderstood because people judge based on snippets rather than the whole picture.”Despite the pressures, Awolowo maintains a focus on his goals and ambitions. “I try to stay focused on my goals and not let negative comments derail me,” he said. “One bad comment can just leave a long-lasting bad taste in one’s mouth, and it can be difficult to shake off.”He also spoke about the delicate balance required in responding to criticism. “The painful part is that because of the popularity status, I am restricted from responding to some people the way I would like to, which might sound very savage,” Awolowo reveals.

In other news, Daniel Tuotamuno Darius, better known as Dandizzy, a rising rapper, has posed a question to President Bola Tinubu in response to his call for Nigerians’ patience with his administration.

The musician took to Twitter to question their claim that becoming president is difficult, and why he was determined to end up in Aso Rock.

Dandizzy implied that after winning elections, political leaders beg the people to relax and allow them more time, whereas they did not do the same when running for office.

He wrote; “If to be president no easy why una dey rush dey go there?? Una go win elections dey tell us to take it easy, una take am easy when una dey contest???”
