“NAFDAC Must Explain” - VDM react to Prophet Fufeyin's claims about his miracle soap

Nigerian activist Martins Otse Vincent, known as Verydarkman, is in the news again due to a lawsuit involving Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin, the founder and head prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM).

The situation began when Verydarkman threatened to alert the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) about the pastor selling miracle soap and water to his congregation.

The 30-year-old critic asserts that Pastor Jeremiah is misguided in monetizing the divine power he professes to have received from God without charge.

This criticism did not resonate positively with the prophet from Delta State, who responded by filing a lawsuit for N1 billion and seeking a restraining order against the critic for accusing him of selling miracle soap and water.

Verydarkman posted about the lawsuit on his Instagram. He shared a video where he talks about the case against the cleric.

He seemed unfazed by the situation and promised to go to court to confront Pastor Fufeyin, bringing along 800 deaf individuals, 700 blind individuals, and 36 women seeking to have children.

In his words, “I am coming to the Court with 800 Deaf People, 700 Blind People, and 36 women who are looking for the fruit of the womb, you must use your healing water and soap to heal all of them in front of the Judge.

Verydarkman has faced police custody multiple times due to his controversial remarks since becoming popular on social media. In March 2024, he was arrested for cyberbullying and cyberstalking, which included making false claims about Nigerian actresses and officials. He denied the charges and was held in custody until his hearing on May 29, 2024. After spending two weeks in detention, he was released.

He was taken into custody again in June 2024 at his home in Abuja on defamation charges linked to a social media report. On June 30, 2024, VeryDarkMan was interrogated by the police about the defamation claims and was released soon after. No arrest occurred, despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

Currently, he is facing a N1 billion lawsuit due to his remarks about Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin’s miracle soap and water.
