Lady Gaga, an American musician, has revealed that she thought she’d be alone “forever” because of her fame.

The 38-year-old, who recently announced her engagement to her partner, Michael Polansky, expressed relief that she is no longer alone.

“I kind of thought I was going to have to do this all by myself—forever. And that was really scary. Because it’s a big life. And I don’t think anyone really knows what it feels like unless you’re in it. And I don’t have to do this alone anymore,” she stated in an interview with Vogue.

Gaga characterized her fiancé as a “totally supportive, loving human being” who wanted to know more about her than just her celebrity status.

“I’d been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I got to completely focus on my relationship. I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me—outside of Lady Gaga,” she said.

Lady Gaga said that her mother introduced her to her fiancé, Michael Polansky.
