Lady Gaga Claps Back At Ex-Classmate's Facebook Group Claiming She'd Never Be Famous

Lady Gaga, the Grammy-winning superstar, clapped back at some of her old NYU classmates who cruelly created a private Facebook group called “Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous”

“Some people I went to college (with) made this way back when,” Gaga said. “This is why you can’t give up when people doubt you or put you down—gotta keep going.”

Her comments came after a TikTok went viral on Tuesday, showcasing the notorious group that mocked her.

The group’s cover photo featured a younger, brunette Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, with a black X over her face.

The next slide in the TikTok highlighted a picture of the “Shallow” singer proudly holding an Oscar, along with a list of her impressive accolades, including 13 Grammys, two Golden Globes, and 18 MTV Video Music Awards, among others.

Fans flooded the comments with praise for Gaga’s comeback and her incredible journey to success. “Success is the best revenge,” one commenter noted.

“She’s not just famous, she’s THE FAME,” another chimed in.

The now-deleted Facebook group, created by her classmates at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, had just 12 members at the time the screenshot was taken.
