Celebrity designer Toyin Lawani recently had an encounter with the provocative singer Portable, expressing her admiration for his authenticity.

In a post on Instagram, Lawani referred to Portable as one of the most sincere entertainers she has come across.

She recognized his remarkable skill in capturing public interest and promoting himself consistently, which she considers a genuine talent.

Furthermore, she highlighted that, despite his success and wealth, he remains humble and connected to his origins.

She wrote:

“Wahala for who no like @portablebaeby.
He’s one of the most Authentic entertainers I’ve ever met.
He’s just a dram king that’s all,
It’s actually real talent to know how to grasp public attention while selling yourself nonstop,
If I tell you portable is actually calm in real life will you argue?
Most popularly asked question—if Portable has made this much money, why is he still living in the trenches?
I watched this video and it made a lot of sense why he’s still there”.

In other news, Veteran actor Patrick Doyle has expressed concerns regarding Afrobeats artist Davido’s choice of clothing during his recent visit to the Olu of Warri.

Davido, who performed in Warri on Saturday, paid a visit to the Olu’s palace accompanied by fellow musician Phyno.

Images from this visit, which circulated online, ignited discussions about the suitability of Davido’s attire.

The artists, along with comedian AY Makun and renowned barman Cubana Chief Priest, were in Warri for the highly anticipated “Warri AGAIN” event, organized by former Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick.

In the images, Davido is depicted wearing brown shorts and a white shirt. Patrick Doyle, an Itsekiri native, questioned the appropriateness of such a casual outfit for an audience with a king of the Olu’s prominence.

In a post featuring a photo of Davido with the Olu, the actor remarked, “Is this appropriate dressing to visit the palace of a king, the calibre of the Olu of Warri?”
