Popular Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has expressed strong disapproval of the billionaires in Nigeria, challenging their self-made success stories.

In a recent talk with the Igbo community, Seun Kuti, the son of legendary Fela Kuti, claimed that real wealth in Nigeria is frequently associated with relationships with government officials and contracts from politicians.

Seun Kuti pointed out that several billionaires who publicly attack the government are really benefiting from their political relationships.

He mentioned that key traders in the lively Alaba markets often use these connections to grow their wealth, even though they claim to be entirely self-sufficient from government assistance.
