This decision was reached during a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by the President. The ministers who were dismissed include Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye from the Ministry of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John from the Ministry of Tourism, Prof. Tahir Mamman from the Ministry of Education, Abdullahi Gwarzo as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Jamila Ibrahim from the Ministry of Youth Development.
The new appointees introduced by President Tinubu are poised to take on significant responsibilities, with Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda stepping in for the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Chimaobim Edu.
Maigari Dingyadi has been appointed as the Minister of Labour and Employment, Jumoke Oduwole as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and Idi Maiha as the Minister for the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development. Furthermore, Yusuf Ata will serve as the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, while Suwaiba Ahmad will take on the role of Minister of State for Education.
Pending Senate confirmation, Bianca Ojukwu is expected to become the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
In addition to these changes, the FEC approved the renaming of the Ministry of Niger Delta Development to the Ministry of Regional Development. This newly designated ministry will be responsible for overseeing regional development commissions in the Niger Delta, South East, North East, and North West regions.
Moreover, the Ministry of Sports Development has been dissolved, with its responsibilities transferred to the National Sports Commission to enhance the sports economy. The Ministry of Tourism has also been merged with the Ministry of Arts and Culture, which is now known as the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy.

A source, who requested anonymity, indicated that there is a prevailing sentiment among certain aides, associates, and members of the public that the current cabinet could be significantly improved.
