A Nigerian lady shared a touching story on social media about a very pregnant lady who unexpectedly gave birth on the streets of Oshodi.
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), she described how the woman, not realizing it was time, suddenly couldn’t move.
Nearby women quickly came together, using their wrappers to create a protective circle and help the woman deliver her baby.
After the baby arrived, a vendor from a large store nearby offered her assistance.
She took the new mother into her shop so the father could collect important things for their baby.
The poster expressed her emotions: “You guys, a woman gave birth in Oshodi. She didn’t know it was time. She said she couldn’t move anymore, and women rallied around to create a circle and delivered the baby. The shouting and jubilation were overwhelming. My heart was so full.”
She continued, “They immediately dressed her in new clothes, and the woman who owns a big baby store carried her inside so the father could get what the child needed. Other women followed them. It was so awesome.”
