Tems has earned another RIAA platinum plaque.

Her song ‘Found,’ featuring Brent Faiyaz, has sold one million copies in the US, qualifying it for the award.

This track is part of her second EP, ‘If Orange Was A Place,’ which came out in 2021.

The song became popular after Tems rose to fame with her standout performance on Wizkid’s hit ‘Essence.’

“Found” has surpassed 119 million streams on Spotify, making it one of her most listened-to tracks.

With her latest honors, Tems now has 3 platinum certifications for “Wait For U” featuring Future, “Free Mind,” and “Found.” She also achieved RIAA gold certifications for her song “Higher,” which made it onto the Billboard Hot 100, and for her EP “For Broken Ears.”

This accomplishment makes her the first Nigerian female artist with an RIAA gold-certified album. Tems joins Rema and Wizkid as the only Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified projects, including Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” and Rema’s “Raves & Roses,” both of which are also RIAA gold-certified.

In other news, Media figure Daddy Freeze has asserted that music artists Davido and KCee are the premier performers in Nigeria.

He expressed this opinion in a video posted on his Instagram account during the birthday celebration of Pastor Tobi Adegboyega in London.

He wrote:

“Please, @tobiadegboyega, what’s the name of that drummer? The guy was WILD without breaking a sweat! As in see skills.

Davido & @iam_kcee are the best performers in Naija. Take it or leave it”.

However, Nigerians took to the comment section to disagree with him.
