In a discussion on the podcast Talk to B, hosted by her fellow actress Biola Bayo, Tawa shared her struggles with online harassment due to her challenges in conceiving during the early years of her marriage.
She revealed that she was subjected to harsh criticism, with some labeling her a “barren woman,” a term that inflicted considerable emotional pain. “It brought tears to my eyes,” she reflected, recalling the distressing comments she faced.
In response to allegations of infidelity, the actress categorically dismissed any such claims. She disclosed that she remained a virgin until her marriage at the age of 30, attributing her choice to a previous disinterest in men.
“I married as a virgin,” Tawa affirmed, underscoring the importance she placed on her chastity. Throughout the interview, Tawa also expressed her appreciation for Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, whom she recognized as a significant mentor in the early stages of her career.
She mentioned that after completing her education, Funke assisted her in producing one of her films, an act she regarded as pivotal in her professional journey.
