A Nigerian woman has voiced her discontent after her siblings were served akpu and egusi soup at their school’s graduation party, despite the substantial tuition fees she pays.

In a video shared on TikTok, she disclosed the name of the school and expressed her disappointment.

The woman featured her siblings, whom she is financially supporting, while articulating her grievances regarding the institution.

She claimed that in addition to the high fees, the school often imposes extra costs for textbooks and other supplies.

Despite these financial contributions, the school reportedly provided only akpu and egusi soup, accompanied by pure water, during the graduation festivities.

Her remarks included:

“These are my siblings. I’m expressing how I feel and calling out Hold Height Academy. Their school fees are expensive. After paying school fees, they’ll ask us to buy other things, and we comply. Their results aren’t the issue here.”

“Today is their graduation party, and they shared akpu and egusi soup with them at school. What is this, despite all the money we’ve paid? Even the soup doesn’t have oil, and they gave them pure water. Rice may be expensive, but you collect a lot in school fees and for the graduation party. Yet, this is what you’re sharing?”

The video quickly garnered attention online, eliciting a variety of responses from viewers.

Many took to the comments to express their opinions, with some sympathizing with her frustrations and others defending the school’s decisions.
