While conversing with Chinasa Anukam, Tems mentioned that although she has never had a boyfriend, she does have what she refers to as a “mini boyfriend.” A brief investigation clarified that a mini boyfriend refers to a casual male companion who does not represent a serious commitment.
In this context, a mini boyfriend is someone with whom one shares a close relationship and engages in activities typical of a romantic partnership, yet both parties agree that they do not have sufficient feelings for one another to pursue a formal relationship.
