Dr. Ikena Odife, Head of the Department of History and International Studies at UNIZIK, has addressed the recent incident involving Precious Mbakwe, expressing his concerns regarding her mental well-being.
Precious Mbakwe gained significant attention after a video surfaced, depicting her physically attacking a lecturer who interrupted her video recording.
In response to the incident, the university administration has taken action, announcing the initiation of an investigation to ascertain the facts surrounding the event.
In a recent statement to the university’s media, Dr. Odife characterized the incident as both shocking and unacceptable, underscoring the necessity for an inquiry into Mbakwe’s psychological health. He also advocated for a comprehensive examination of her background, from childhood through her university experience.
“This investigation should be holistic. There should be serious interrogation of the girls background beginning from childhood to present state as a university undergraduate”, He stated.
