Join Our Party At The Ward Level – APC Shades Ali Modu Sherriff Join Our Party At The Ward Level – APC Shades Ali Modu Sherriff

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the planned defection to its party by the former factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and it sounds much like a brutal shade.

Sheriff, reports say, plans to join the APC at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.

But a statement issued Thursday afternoon by Bolaji Abdullahi, APC National Publicity Secretary, said any person who intends to join the party must do so at the ward level.

He wrote:

“While we are aware of such intentions, we wish to restate our earlier position that anyone who wants to join the Party should do so at the ward level.

“We are happy to welcome new members to our party, but membership cards are not issued at the Party National Secretariat.”

A former aide to the former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, had earlier mentioned that that Sheriff’s planned defection to the All Progressive Party was to avoid being added to the looters’ list.

He also mentioned that that former factional chairman is nevertheless, unwanted in the People’s Democratic Party and so he can carry his brooms and sweep his way into the All Progressive Party

The former presidential spokesman wrote,

“I congratulate former unwanted factional chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, on his return to his natural habitat, APC. Sheriff is wise.

“With allegations against him and a soon to be released looters list round the corner, he has carried the broom so his problems will passover!

You can recollect that the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed had said the federal government is compiling fresh names of people alleged to have looted the nation’s treasury.

A previous list was released and Nigerians were dumbfounded to find the names of numerous people that were placed in the affairs of the nation to grow it, but they rather squandered the funds that were allocated to them.
