Pep Guardiola Handed Two-Game Champions League Ban For Conduct During Liverpool Defeat
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been handed a two-game suspension by UEFA for his conduct during the defeat to Liverpool in this season’s Champions League quarter-finals.
The 47-year-old was sent off for complaining about a decision at half-time of the second-leg at the Etihad on 10 April.
He will serve a one-game ban next season, with the second game deferred for a year.
After being sent to the stands for protesting a goal being disallowed and verbally abusing a referee, Guardiola appeared to send communications to his coaching staff from his second-half seat high in the main stand.
