OSUN RE-RUN: How APC Is Allegedly Giving Each Voter in Osun 100k per Vote- PDP Reveals
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has commenced the payment of N100, 000 per vote to voters in Osun State to cast their votes in favour of the party, Daily Post reports.
Ademola Adeleke of the PDP led the race in last Saturday’s election with 254,698 votes, 353 votes more than Oyetola.
The margin was, however, less than the 3,498 votes in the polling units where votes were cancelled.
Consequently, the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joseph Afuape, declared the poll inconclusive.
INEC later announced that the rerun election will be held today in the affected areas.
But the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, had tweeted Wednesday night that Omisore has not only been cleared of all his corruption charges with the EFCC, the ruling party is also alleged to be doling out N100,000 to each voter at the Osun re-run election:
“Checkout the stories rolling out of Osun…@OfficialAPCNg offers 100k per vote…
“@OfficialAPCNg returns @iyiomisore passport, houses, clears all @officialEFCC cases
“@OfficialAPCNg offers @iyiomisore humongous sums.
“@OfficialAPCNg will sell this nation for votes in 2019 #Shame.”
