current report shows that there is a hard tussle between Nigerian detectives and their counterparts in the United States over the custody of embattled Nigerian socialite and billionaire, Raymond Hushpuppi.
You would recall that Hushpuppi was reportedly arrested in Dubai by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and INTERPOL at his Pallazo Versace apartment over fraud allegations.
A Nigerian detective revealed in an interview with PremiumTimes that battle ensued beteen Nigeria and USA over Hushpuppi after he was arrested.
According to the unidentified detective, Hushpuppi is on the radar of both Nigerian and American security.
He said;
“Immediately we got confirmation that he had been arrested in Dubai, we all started fighting to get him. He is a subject of multiple and conflicting interests between Nigeria and the United States.”
However, officials have indicated that the FBI is likely to win the fight for the custody of Hushpuppi because there is a number of fraud cases in America that is allegedly linked with him.
