According to the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, some fuel thieves have vandalized a pipeline at Aboru, Iyan-Ipaja, NAN reports.
The Director-General made this known in a recent press interaction on Wednesday morning.
He noted that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) had been carrying out some maintenance works adding that these fuel thieves saw the need to utilize the opportunity at hand and steal fuel.
He said his team of experts chanced upon a liquid spilling out of the NNPC pipeline, however, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
He said;
“The repair has been concluded while the agency is constrained to remind residents of the commitment of the state government to the safety of lives and property.”
