Martin Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of seeking to intimidate #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters by restricting their demonstration to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
VDM contended that the demonstrators, who are not footballers, had no reason to gather at the stadium.
Moments before police used tear gas at the Berger Roundabout in Abuja on Friday, Otse requested President Bola Tinubu to address the demonstrators’ issues.
He also warned the demonstrators against resorting to violence, indicating that he would personally report any individuals who engaged in violent behavior to authorities.
The nationwide protest, which began on Thursday in Abuja and other parts of the country, is intended to draw attention to concerns of hunger and poor governance.
