Actor Ayo Makun pays a courtesy visit to Gov Richard Mofe to endorse his new film ‘The Waiter’

Nollywood actor and comedian Ayo Makun, widely recognized as AY, recently made a courtesy visit to the Governor of Delta State.

He shared photographs from the visit on his Instagram account, which also featured veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo. AY conveyed his sense of honor during the visit, stating that the purpose was to endorse his latest film, The Waiter.

Ayo characterized the occasion as a significant moment to commemorate the remarkable journey of Akpos, a character that has not only won the affection of many but has also achieved a place in the Guinness World Record.

He wrote, “Honoured to pay a courtesy visit to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, to officially endorse The Waiter movie, showing in cinemas nationwide from December 20th!
It’s a special moment as we celebrate the incredible journey of Akpos, a character that has not only captured hearts but also made history by entering the Guinness World Records. Proud to represent Delta State and share this exciting story with the world alongside @mofedamijo, who has consistently supported my brand growth”.

In other news, Singer Peter Okoye, widely recognized as Mr P and formerly part of the now-defunct duo P-Square, has responded to a viral video featuring a French band performing P-Square’s popular track ‘Testimony’ (Taste the Money) at a state dinner in Paris.

The event, which took place on Thursday at the Palais de l’Élysée, was part of President Bola Tinubu’s three-day state visit to France, aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

The band’s lively Afrobeat interpretation, infused with a French touch, garnered applause from the audience, including President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who appeared to enjoy the cultural exchange. On Friday, Peter shared the video on Instagram, captioning it: “Enjoy your weekend! 🫣 #TasteTheMoney”.
