Veteran actor Jerry Amilo has conducted a funeral service for his daughter Princess, or Chidera, who sadly passed away just months after their joyful reunion.
On August 21, he shared a video capturing their reunion after being apart for two years.
In the clip, his joy was palpable as he said, “Guess who is in the building? Princess is back in Nigeria! Abuja airport we are leaving. So nice to have you.”
He captioned the post, “Welcome home, my darling daughter @pryncessamilo. It’s been two years.”
On October 4, Jerry’s daughter passed away.
He shared his deep sorrow on Instagram, explaining how this loss has deeply affected him.
In his tribute, he requested that God provide everlasting peace to his dear one. “angel,” though he chose not to reveal the circumstances surrounding her passing.
He poignantly captioned the post, “You took a part of me with you. I’m so speechless,” accompanied by black and red heartbreak emojis.
Jerry uploaded a touching video from the funeral to his Instagram on Thursday, October 10.
The video features him in black clothing, with sunglasses on, standing by a white coffin while elderly women sing heartfelt hymns.
He captioned the post, “Good night 🌙😴 My 👼 Angel. May your soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” once again using heartbreak emojis.
Fans and other celebrities expressed their sympathy and support.
Chinedu Ikedieze wrote, “This is sad. Nwanne jisie obi ike. May God comfort you and your household.”
Angela Okorie shared, “My brother, take heart.” Rachael Okonkwo also expressed her sympathy, saying, “My condolences, sir.”
Jerry Amilo, despite being famous, has chosen to keep his personal life out of the spotlight.
While details about his wife are scarce, it is known that he is married and has three children, including the tragic loss of Princess.
