Actor Yomi Fabiyi organized a peaceful protest outside the Coroner Inquest Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, calling for justice for the late singer, Mohbad.

On Wednesday, a group of protesters wearing black T-shirts gathered outside the court, responding to Yomi’s earlier invitation for the public to join in the fight for justice for the late artist.

The coroner’s inquest into Mohbad’s death resumed at the Ikorodu Magistrate Court, with his parents, Joseph and Abosede Aloba, arriving separately for the session.

Just a reminder, the inquest started on September 29, 2023, to determine the real cause of Mohbad’s death after his sudden and mysterious passing on September 12, 2023.

He was buried the next day, but on September 21, his body was exhumed for an autopsy at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

The autopsy report didn’t find any major evidence explaining Mohbad’s death, although it did show traces of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, but not in lethal amounts.

Unhappy with the findings, Mohbad’s family dismissed the results and demanded an independent investigation.

Monisola Odumosu, part of the Aloba legal team, shared that a two-part autopsy is currently underway. The first part is done, and the second part will include toxicology and histology tests.

Notably, singer Naira Marley and Sam Larry, who are seen as key witnesses, were missing from the court despite being called to appear.
