Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has conveyed her deep admiration for her 11-year-old daughter, Olivia Idibia, who exhibited extraordinary compassion and empathy on her birthday.
Annie shared that when she inquired about her daughter’s birthday wishes, Olivia requested a celebration that included less fortunate children.
Annie Idibia disclosed that her daughter’s altruistic request moved her to tears.
The actress reminisced that Olivia had voiced a similar wish the year before, but circumstances did not allow it to be fulfilled at that time.
Sharing a video from the party, Annie wrote:
“It was our Superstar Birthday she just turned 11.
When Daddy and I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday.
She could’ve asked for anything, but my baby asked for us for an opportunity to celebrate her birthday party with children who aren’t PRIVILEGED!!!
I’m like. Livy, are u sure this is what u really for ur bday? She said: yes, mama, I wanted to do it last year for my 10th. remember I mentioned it last year?” I knew she mentioned it but didn’t take it seriously as we didn’t do any party for her 10th.
I no to lie; it got me so teary, and it struck me once again that this child wasn’t only thinking way beyond her age (we always knew that part), but it was her heart. The thoughts, gosh! the honesty in her eyes.” Na wetin my pikin wan do for her bday? It got me teary and so emotional! God! I was just PROUD!
She went on, “And Mama, remember u used to do this during our own bdays too. It was always really nice, but erm I want an ACTUAL PARTY oooo u know now
mama everything, music, DJ, games, etc.”.
