Actress Didi Ekanem Recounts How She Was Sexually Harassed By Police Officers

Didi Ekanem, popular Nollywood actress has alleged that police harassment in Nigeria, as she narrates a horrific incident she had that left her in tears.

In a series of posts she shared on her Instagram story, the movie star stated that she made a one-way u-turn, and before she was done, about 10 armed officers yelled and pointed guns at her.

She said she was thrown out of her car and forced to an unknown destination where she spent hours waiting for their commander.

As they waited, she said one of the officers tried to touch her breasts and when she warned him, he said he was only trying to help. The commander eventually came at about 3pm and took her to Alausa, Ikeja, then allegedly proceeded to make sexual passes at her.

Didi Ekanem concluded that the End SARS protests which held to address these same issues, had no impact.
